Ghajini Vs Ghajini - The Heroes

Previously I had made comparisons between the Tamil and Hindi versions of Ghajini with respect to their music. Now, it's time to get down and dirty and compare the heroes of the two movies - Aamir Khan and Surya.
One is an established actor of Bollywood. Another is a rising star of Kollywood. At the outset, the comparison seems unfair to the Tamil actor. Afterall, Aamir is a giant when it comes to Indian movies and Surya is a child in front of him. But just the reports that Aamir used Surya's stills from the movie as a reference while training his body shows that Aamir was impressed with Surya's performance and looks in the Tamil Ghajini. Moreover, Aamir himself invited Surya to do a film with him (which I guess was Rang de Basanti), but Surya had to turn down the offer due to personal reasons (and continuing with my guess work, I think the role was that of Siddharth's). All this clearly establishes that Aamir was in awe of Surya's performance.
What sets Aamir apart is his absolute dedication and loyalty to the movie he acts in. Working out for a year and getting a body that people half his age would be hard pressed to get, Aamir is the epitome of perfection, hard work and sincerity. He has outdone any other actor in the Indian movie industry with a chiselled body and combined with his acting prowess, he's got to be amongst THE best in Indian cinema ( which inludes the likes of Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Amithabh Bachchan). Since Aamir's looks have become the highlight of the movie, let's compare his physique with that of Surya. If one looks at Surya's physique in the 2005 movie, it's no match of Aamir's look in the 2008 movie. But Surya has done a lot of workout in the meantime and looks fabulous in his movies like Vaaranam Aayiram. Age is a factor here, and despite Aamir's great physique, the younger actor finds himself having better body amongst the two.
Coming to acting, there's really no comparison here. Aamir Khan is, well, Aamir Khan. Surya has to do a lot more to be compared with Aamir when it comes to acting. Surya has shown some brilliance in his recent movies, but like I said, Surya is a child in the movie industry in front of Aamir.
In the end, there's no comparison really. It's Aamir all the way along.
